Undergraduate Grants and Scholarships

Like other Ivy League institutions, Penn bases all of its financial aid on need. Scholarships are not given by the University based on performance in sports or the classroom. Penn is dedicated to providing grant-based help to cover your entire demonstrated need for eight academic semesters.

Outside Scholarships

One of the few colleges in the country that is dedicated to a need-blind admissions process is Penn. This implies that whether a student is seeking for financial help has no bearing on how the Penn Office of applications reviews applications.

Mayor's Scholarship Program

Penn offers financial help packages that fully meet your substantiated need. We may need to modify your package if you obtain an outside scholarship to take into account this extra source of financing.

Summer Funding

There won't be a summer financial aid application process necessary after the summer of 2023. Automated aid eligibility and packaging will be driven mostly by registration.
