Scholarships for Indian students have been unveiled by the University of Sussex.
The University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom (UK) is now accepting applications for its MSc Pharmaceutical Engineering course, scheduled to commence in September 2024. These scholarships are available to prospective international students who meet the specified eligibility requirements.
The deadline for scholarship applications is 1 pm (UK time) on May 13, 2024. Results of the scholarship selection process will be announced on June 10.
This program is designed to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge demanded by the pharmaceutical industry on a global scale.
Students enrolled in this program will delve into the principles and practical applications of pharmaceutical science, covering areas such as oral drug delivery, medication production, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies in pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical processes.
Structured to impart essential chemical engineering concepts vital for industrial pharmaceutical manufacturing, the curriculum provides hands-on experience with advanced formulated products, utilizing the university's industrial-scale continuous powder processing plant (ConsiGma 25).
In addition to instruction from academic faculty, students will receive guidance from distinguished experts in the field.
Upon graduation, students will be prepared for diverse career opportunities spanning various sectors, including detergents (such as Unilever or P&G), food products (like Nestle), cosmetics, catalyst manufacturing, and fertilizers.
This is a one-year course with an annual overseas fee of £29,700 (equivalent to Rs 30,62,688). Prospective students are required to possess a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 55% in science, technology, and engineering from an accredited university.
Applicants must also achieve an overall IELTS score of 6.5, with no less than 6.0 in each section, or an equivalent qualification. The University is providing 125 International Postgraduate Taught Merit Scholarships, each valued at £5,000 (approximately Rs 5.15 lakh) for tuition fees.
